Welcome to Congress 2018!
2018 marks the 76th Congress of the GCNA. Congress will be held June 4-8, 2018 at Thomas Rees Memorial Carillon in Springfield, Illinois.
Registration is open to anyone. GCNA membership is not required to register to attend this congress.
Lodging
Congress Hotel: The Springfield Wyndham City Center Hotel
Room Rate: $112 plus tax (rate includes covered parking for the duration of stay).
Guests can make reservations by calling the hotel directly at (217) 789-1530, pressing 1 for reservations. In order to obtain the congress room rate please make sure to mention the block name as GCNA 2018. Rate valid until May 14, after that regular rates may apply and rooms will be unblocked.
Rate can be obtained for the full International Carillon Festival Duration (June 3 through June 8).
Note: Registration fee remains the same whether you attend one or all days of the congress.
A visit, including open tower time, to the 39-bell Rainwater Carillon at Principia College is available as a post congress option on June 9 in the morning. Principia College is located in Elsah, Illinois, approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes from Springfield and only a 35-minute drive from the St. Louis airport. Participants are responsible for their own transportation to the college.
First-Time Attendee Scholarship: A scholarship for the congress registration is available for first time attendees who are GCNA members and not receiving reimbursement from another source. Applicants for this scholarship should not register online but request scholarship information/application from Tim Sleep, GCNA Vice President, via email at tsleep@ameritech.net or 28W640 Warrenville Rd, Warrenville, IL 60555 by USPS. Application must be received prior to May 1, 2018. Applicants who receive the scholarship and do not attend the congress will have their credit card charged the full amount of the registration fee.
