Member bio
Roy Lee served on the Guild's Board from 2016 to 2022 and was its President from 2019 to 2021. He performs regularly and teaches at the University of Toronto Soldiers' Tower Carillon, and was Carillonneur of Metropolitan United Church from 2016 to 2023. Born in Hong Kong, he spent his teenage years in Vancouver, and was an undergraduate at Yale when he began learning to play the carillon. In 2000, he became a Carillonneur Member of the GCNA. He also holds a diploma with great distinction from the Royal Carillon School of Mechelen, Belgium. He received his B.A. (history) from Yale and his J.D. from the University of Toronto.
