Tenure-Track Position in Music - Keyboard Studies
The Berea College Department of Music announces a full-time, tenure-track position in Music beginning in August 2024. Primary responsibilities include instruction in Applied Piano and Organ, heading the department’s team of student and staff collaborative pianists, and serving as organist at weekly chapel services and campuswide events. Demonstrated excellence in keyboard and collaborative piano instruction at the undergraduate level as well as a willingness to participate in the General Education program is expected. Experience as a carillonneur is a plus. The candidate will work closely with applied instructors, ensemble directors, and the Campus Christian Center. An earned doctorate is required at the time of appointment. Ideal candidates will, through their teaching, scholarship, mentoring, and service, show a commitment to carrying out Berea College’s unique mission.

Each video excerpt should be unedited and between 15-30 minutes in length. Review of applications will begin on October 17, 2023 and continue until the position is filled.
