Carillonneur Exam

The process for the Carillonneur examination is an annual event. The process requires approximately seven months, starting in November with application and concluding the following June with the exam recital at the annual congress.

Master List of Required Pieces

The purpose of the Master List of Required Pieces for the Carillonneur Exam is to demonstrate the musical expectation level needed to achieve Carillonneur membership. The exam year-specific pieces, chosen by the jury, will change annually and be announced in the Fall edition of Carillon News a year in advance. They also appear in the year-specific requirements as presented below. The Master List is subject to change.

Special Needs

Candidates who have special needs may submit a written request to the GCNA Examinations Chair for special accommodations to be made. Such requests must be made by the November 1 deadline for the respective session each time a candidate applies for an examination. The President and the Examinations Chair will consider each case individually.
