The Exchange Website says nothing about the bells, though there is a photo of the building.

"Victorian London" has a page of various historical descriptions of the building and its functions, beginning with a contemporary account of the present building, written shortly after its construction in 1844. At that time, it had 17 bells (tenor 1 ton) in the clock tower on the east face of the building. The various changes since then are not yet incorporated into the database which produced the "Technical data" shown above.

There exist two engravings ( #1, #2) of the previous Exchange building, which also held a clock-chime.

Where this work lies in the sequence of output of the Gillett & Johnston bellfoundry, in this region and in the world.
