| Inspector's commentary: This chime in its present state is an outstanding example of the right way to renovate and modernize a historic American-made instrument. The original chimestand has been refurbished, the original mechanical action has been balanced and adjusted to a reasonably short stroke (almost carillon-like), the swinging tenor bell has been rehung on a modern frame, and the added electric action is completely independent. /s/ C.S.Z. |
