*Remarks:
Original bells by J.N.Derck of Hoorn, cast in 1737; 10 recast and 13 retuned in 1739; all destroyed by fire in 1905. Replacement by Schilling of Apolda, cast 1908, installed 1910, along with 5 church bells from F 10.4 tonnes, with mechanisms by E.Korfhage & Sons, Buhr, nr Osnabrück; taken down in 1940 for war materiel, but 28 bells survived and are now part of carillon at LÜBECK, GERMANY (q.v.); the smallest of the 5 church bells remains here. First 3 octaves of present bells cast in stages, 1986-9, ded. 1 Sep.1989; a playing console was provided in 1990 but never connected.
