   A ring of 6, installed 1846 (or 1851),
   was replaced by the chime of 1901,
   which had added semitone of flat 7th.
   The recast chime has added semitones
   of sharp 4th and flat 7th.
   Cambridge quarters by G&J tower clock.

   Traditional chime (baton keyboard) of 11 bells
   Pitch of heaviest bell is E  in the middle octave
   Transposition is up  4 semitone(s)
   Keyboard range:     C D   /    NONE  
   There are two added semitones
   All bells were recast or replaced in 1935
     by Gillett & Johnston
   Prior history:
     In 1901, the instrument was begun with 10 bells
       by Gillett & Johnston
       (0 bells remain from that work.)
