   1872, D, nearly 4000 lbs.
   Visitors welcome.
   May-Oct 2006: bells out of tower for
   major renovation and enlargement by
   Meeks, Watson & Co.; added one bass (to
   G&J light profile) and an octave of
   trebles, all on new frame; G&J practice
   keyboard sold to  OOLTEWAH, TN.

     In 1926, the instrument was begun with 23 bells

The church Website has a photo of the tower as background to the main page; there is also a tiny drawing of the whole building.  The text mentions the carillon.  A former Music page seems to have disappeared in a redesign of the Website (visited Mar.2006).

A news article about the removal of St.George's bells for restoration has a photo of Rick Watson and several of the bells on a flatbed truck.

A news article mentions that the church has an 1833 bell on the lawn (details not given).
