The BollŽe foundry has provided bells for various carillons and chimes throughout the world.  See the bottom of this page for contact information and additional notes.
The sites are listed in order by the year of casting, which may be different from the year of installation.  Following the year is an indication of the founder's contribution to the instrument: Finally, there is an indication of the type of instrument:
  trad      - carillon with traditional keyboard
  trad*     - carillon with traditional keyboard now,
              but with other mechanism and/or chime size at the date cited
  great     - great bell (over 4 tonnes weight) not in a chime or carillon
  [...]     - instrument is defunct; link is to "sites that are no more"
NOTE: This index initially included only installations outside of Europe.  It is being expanded to have a wider geographic coverage.

Family history

Summary of history:

This family-owned foundry traces its roots to 1715.  For more than a century, the foundrymen were itinerant; they have occupied the present premises since 1838.  Current owners represent the 8th and 9th generation in this work.
