*Remarks:

   Originally a ring of 6 by Warner, cast
   in 1854 & hung in 1855; treble recast
   in 1860.  Removed to storage in 1970
   on demolition of the old building;
   refurbished in 1988 by Eayre & Smith,
   but not then hung.
   Extended to 9 (ring of 8 + toll) by
   Taylor in 2004; one of the new bells is
   a heavier tenor, and the original tenor
   will become the service bell.
   Apr.2008: New tower under construction;
   dedication planned for 1 Nov.

   Chime-sized instrument (without any workable playing mechanism) of  8 bells
   Pitch of heaviest bell is G# in the middle octave
   Transposition is unknown
   Keyboard range:     ----  /    ----  
   There are no added semitones
   The whole instrument will be re-installed in 2008
     with bells made by Taylor in 2004 (except for 5)
   Year of latest technical information source is 2007
